Our Groomers:

Diane from New York:

Diane is from Brooklyn, NY. She loves horses and has always wanted to work with animals since she was a young girl of 15.

When she was in high school, she got a part time job as a dog bather. Throughout the years, she learned this trade from her fellow groomers. Eventually, she bought a dog kennel and grooming shop in New Jersey.

Diane then moved to Arizona with her husband of over 30 years and they have two children. She bought Canine Preferred, an existing business of 20 years.

Diane is very creative, artistic, and loving. Diane is very excited about Canine Preferred and looks forward to spending time with you and your pet to find out what best suits your pet's needs.

 

Little Sarah from Las Vegas:

When she got to Arizona, she married her sweetheart and owns a beautiful Great Dane. She started out as a young girl in a grooming shop, much like Diane, as a bather. She learned her profession from her fellow groomers. She came to Canine Preferred in 2004 at the age of 22 and she has become an excellent groomer. She helps Diane run the front desk. She enjoys doing dogs of all sizes and is an asset to the business.

 

Rachel:

Rachel has been with Canine Preferred since 2009, though she has been grooming dogs professionally since 2004.

She forms very close bonds with the dogs she grooms, and loves them like they were her own. Rachel works with all breeds and especially loves designing creative custom haircuts when given the opportunity. She is currently working here on a part-time basis, as she is a full-time student as well.

Rachel is a psychology major at Scottsdale Community College with aims to attend the University of Arizona to earn her PhD and become a practicing psychologist.

Rachel has been happily married to her husband, Ricardo, for six years. During this time, they have rescued and fostered many homeless animals, and currently have two rescue dogs: Hugo, a Newfoundland and Lab mix, and Milo, a mixed breed, who stars on the Canine Preferred flyers along with Diane’s dogs.

 

Sara Louise from California:

Sara is originally from San Jose, California. She went to the Univ. of Arizona in 1978 under a Synchronized Swimming sports scholarship where she met her now husband, then best friend, and they got married in 1993. Sara Louise was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame at the Univ. of Arizona in 2003.

Sara started grooming in 1999 and has been with Canine Preferred ever since. She is an excellent groomer and very thorough in her abilities. She loves all dogs but has a special place in her heart for grooming Long Hairs.
